The first of its kind in Bangalore, the Total Environment Jazz Festival will showcase International Jazz contemporaries like James Carter, Helen Sung and Yuri Honing among others across Mainstream, Funk, Afro & Latin Jazz.

The festival celebrates Jazz across three nights at the UB City Amphitheatre from Thursday, 27th to Saturday, the 29th of November, 2014 between 7:00-10:30pm, featuring two International Artists each night. Tickets for the event will be priced at Rs. 950/- Per Night and at Rs. 2,000/- for a 3-Day Festival Pass will be available at Windmills Craftworks in Whitefield, at select Book My Show Outlets around the city, Book My Show Online and at the Venue on all Concert Days.

About the Total Environment Music Foundation:

The vision of the Total Environment Music Foundation is to create fresh new Original Music for the world. In alignment with this singular vision, the foundation plans to establish a world-class institution of music, which will not only enable students to learn, practice, perform, create and produce music of high standards, but also establish a professional platform for professionals to collaborate and create new music across boundaries and cultures.

The Artists Line-up for the 27th November 2014:

  • Doris Lavin Quintet, from Cuba, famously known as the 'Cuban Spitfire', brings an animated blend of Salsa, Son and Timba.
  • Helen Sung, from USA, cut her teeth with legends Wayne Shorter, Clark Terry & Ron Carter. Wynton Marsalis named her as the next Jazz musician to watch out for.

The Artists Line-up for the 28th November 2014:

  • Yuri Honing, from Holland, is considered a trail blazer by jazz critics. The tenor saxophonist brings his electric band 'Wired Paradise'.
  • John di Martino hails from the USA. Noted for his versatility on piano, he has performed and recorded with greats like Joe Lovano, James Moody and Kenny Burrell.

The Artists Line-up for the 29th November 2014:

  • James Carter is the world's most admired tenor saxophonist of his generation. He is a master of the entire range from Sopranino to Bass Saxophone.
  • Carlos Bica & Azul, from Portugal, will provide a zany romp through a vast musical landscape.
